That is how I feel. Disgusted.
As a news junkie – someone who looks forward to the weekend in part to read Peggy Noonan’s WSJ column (more so before she got so preachy) I just can’t do it anymore. It is joyless. And has become gross.
Trump and his administration keep stepping in it. The House Republicans have found a new planet called Delusion. What’s left of their party are orbiting somewhere in deep space. Democrats are vacillating between free fall and full crack up. The Main Stream Media are just plain liars. Sad, corrupt, pathetic and bitter, sore, sad losers.
Being an ardent Trump supporter I have wanted to be positive. To not criticize when it seems he’s up against the world. But frankly, this should have been anticipated. If you don’t know how to run the White House or form an administration – get someone who does. Outsource.
Paul Ryan – REALLY? Where have you been for the past eight years? We get a crack at this Obamacare thing and you guys suddenly don’t have a plan? Really? How about messaging – Obamacare did absolutely everything the Republicans said it would. It needs to be taken out back and shot. We’ll save a few good pieces of it – pre-existing conditions, staying on your parent’s policy until 26 (hey if you are living in their basement, why not) but other than that it’s a stuffed head for over the mantel.
And while you are at it, maybe taking less recess and vacation time and showing up every now and again might win you elections. Your approval rating is still 10 points lower than the media. Voters tend to like people who show up for work.
John McCain – no one and I mean NO ONE wants to hear anything from you. Unless it is a public service announcement for term limits. And your sidekick Lindsey Graham comes in a close second. So zip it.
This Russian FIASCO is so stupid. Just plain stupid. So what’s the premise – the Ruskies hacked Podesta’s emails which revealed how truly odious Hilary’s people really are? This is how Wikileaks influenced the election? The Main Stream Media went to great pains not to report on it. It really only appealed to political nerds, like myself and another handful of fellow Twitter followers.
We all know why Hilary lost the election. It wasn’t related to anything or anyone in Moscow.
Which bring us to the Democrats.
Schumer however annoyingly melodramatic is just doing his job. Much better than his Republican counterparts did by the way. Elizabeth Warren’s shill twitter tantrums have her dipping in the polls even in deep blue Boston. Maxine Waters is still battling her way out of a paper bag. Tim Kaine’s son was arrested for violent student protests. And the Biden’s son’s marital dramas are making us all feel normal.
But despite Soros’ bankrolling and Obama’s new roommate Valerie Jarrett and “shadow government” they are still without vigor, youthful leaders and new ideas. Their staggering losses under Obama’s Progressive doctrine have not led to any moments of self-reflection or consideration as to how they might recapture the hearts and votes of the vast voting block which is mentally and physically the middle of America.
The media are just vile. Their hysteria about absolutely every issue has exhausted most people I know. The reaction is the same to everything that comes out of the White House. The premise that Chuck Todd, Andrea Mitchell, Jake Tapper or Martha Raddatz even have a blink of impartiality is no longer on the table. Their daily full-frontal assault on the President and the reaction to EVERYTHING he imposes have wearied even the most regular readers and watchers. Mika and her inamorata Joe Scarborough, teetering on the brink each morning drive off the steep cliffs of mental anguish. They are all now outed as unabashed talking heads for the DNC.
The only funny thing to have emerged was Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer. That was genuinely funny. The box of tricks MM used on SNL was a moment of gifted comedy. Alec Baldwin and the rest are too mean. And that woman who played Hilary and now Kelly Ann Conway needs to go. Impressions are only funny when one is good at them. Enjoy if you haven’t seen it.
All of this makes Sodom and Gomorrah a preferable destination to Washington DC.
What a mess.
I failed to see it after the election and got it in spades with a Facebook fight with lifetime friends that made me take pause. Hhhhmmmm, This is not going well….
But the HYSTERIA has continued. It is in response to almost anything the 45th President says.
It’s bled over onto his children and their business ventures – Nordstrom chucked Ivanka’s successful brand off the shelf given a coordinated hit campaign called #grabyourwallet. In their own words, here is #grabyour wallet and their mission statement. Never having met, Shannon Coulter and Sue Atencio joined forces and announced on Twitter they’d be boycotting any retailer that carried Trump products, with the goal of motivating those companies on the list to stop doing business with the Trump family.
Are Trump’s children responsible for his political platform? Should their business ventures suffer accordingly? What if Malia or Sascha Obama had a clothing or accessories line which was summarily boycotted by objectors to their father’s political stance? I’m just guessing but likely we’d see the largest howls from the media and other Progressive facilitators as to how abhorrent, racist, unjust and evil boycotters were.
I have been ill prepared for the hate. For the venom. For the Facebook posts done regularly, (multiple times) daily by some, declaring absolute bile and blatant hatred for 45. Again, if the anti-Obama crown had even considered something even close to this, there would be massive outcries form the left. If not arrests. What’s the result for Trump supporters? Looking at FB much less often.
Not to mention that the Progressive movement has such an enormous leg up on most media platforms who as liberals themselves are sorting, blocking, pushing narratives that suit their proclivity. Familiarize yourself with Twitter – regularly Conservative posters are blocked and dumped. Pre-Election several media outlets noted the censorship of Conservatives; The Hill: Silencing Conservative Voices on Social Media .
The Press – The Main Stream Media has not responded well to Trump (via Bannon) branding them Enemies of the State. I’m not sure about this long term strategy of repeatedly punching your critics in the face but Bannon seems certain. More to come about his well-defined and undeniable agenda, but buckle up when his address at CPAC includes this: “If you think they are going to give you your country back without a fight you are sadly mistaken. Every day it is going to be a fight.” Bannon’s on TRUMP Agenda at 2017 CPAC See 5:40 Mark for Quote.
At CPAC Bannon asked listeners to hold Trump accountable. He maintained they will keep pushing forward. We’ve got time. Trump inherited a mess – and he’s getting no credit for any level of success. His supporters are sticking with him, no matter what and we are not tuning to the MSM media for interpretation any time soon.
i. Donald Trump intends to keep his campaign promises. With his business background it seemed likely that Trump spent the time period between Election Day and Inauguration Day not celebrating but planning for a transition. He’s got big plans and the reality TV fantasy football team lined up to execute. He’s been in office 26 days and has made the most of it.
ii.The Democrats have no idea what has hit them. The Main Stream Media is done. Hollywood has doubled down. The Democrats have no message, no leaders and no platform. Trust in the Main Stream Media is at an all time low. Their blatant bias has made facts negotiable and sourcing of them variable. Everyone wants to shoot the messenger. Hollywood is becoming increasingly irrelevant and seemingly oblivious to the options their neighbors in Silicon Valley have provided to consumers. Who goes to movies? Or concerts? There is a critical disconnect between supply and demand. A crucial spanking is in order for all.
iii. IT ISN’T A TRAVEL BAN! The protestors have no clue why they are marching. These laws are on the books. The entire presentation is misinformed. People do not have an unbridled right to enter our country. Are the protestors saying they prefer illegal aliens to citizens? Hysteria has ensued. This is a problem.
iv. The Tale of Two Steve’s. The dynamic duo behind the curtain is likely Steve (Bannon) and Stephen (Miller). One is front of the house, Miller, while Bannon runs the guts of the gig. Bannon has the strategy; aggressive, unrelenting, cerebral, all encompassing with an understanding of social media platforms. Bannon is a Google ghost. Miller is the messenger. It takes real chutzpa to use the Sunday show’s time against themselves. Karl Rove was dubbed “The Architect”. Stay tuned for clever monikers for Batman and Robin.
v. Trump’s twitter feed is not going anywhere. It is the way he directly reaches “The People.” In the words of Dr. Seuss: “I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An elephant’s faithful one-hundred percent!” If you want to know what he’s thinking, get a twitter handle. And follow @realdonaldtrump .
vi. Trump’s Team may need to Reorganize. Kellyanne Conway did a great job winning the election. Trump could not have done it without her. He needs to differentiate the campaign from the administration. I sense Trump has tremendous loyalty making it difficult for him to let people go who have succeeded on his behalf, but he must reorganize. He must make the White House go.
vii. Soros, Clinton and the “Shadow Government” is a problem. The paid protestors are a problem. The Clinton’s remain a problem. The opposition and the leaks are a problem. The Democrats have always had the messaging machine, the turn-out machine and the social media platforms. Hopefully Batman and Robin have an emerging plan. Anarchy is not helpful and at some point becomes dangerous.
viii. Melania Trump will not be a typical First Lady. The Trump family will remain front and center. Melania is going to do it her way and her son is her top priority. The media and Trump opponents will chip away at everything. This savvy Eastern European beauty has seen how the opposition has treated her husband, her family and her son. On the backside she’s going to do it her way. Prediction: surprising resilience and strength and admiration from the American public; sadly approval ratings slightly lower than the Michelle Obama mirage.
ix. Discussion about Illegal Immigrants and Amnesty are really about building a SUPERMAJORITY for Democrats. Forever. The plan was to bleed out, bring more and more people into the country who will be forever grateful for entitlements and better lives. In return they would vote Democrat and keep the tidy aristocracy in place. The fact no one is discussing this is INSANE.
x. Meaningful Conservative voices have slowly been emerging. Fox News, Milo Y, twitter and emerging voices are giving range to formerly stifled Conservative constituents. Milo claims that Conservatives are the “New Punk”. The ridiculousness on elite college campuses only feeds the fire. Identity politics are failing. Progressive policies do not perform economically. The stifling of dissenting voices defies who we are as a nation. It is failing. People are listening. This is heartening.
xi. Consumerism is going to change. Milo Yanopoulis has long said that Conservatives can declare market share. He who has the gold makes the rules. The premise being basement dwellers don’t have money for the movies. As an alternative consumer flexes their muscles expect a shift – take note at Joy Villa’s Trump dress at the Grammys. Her music sales skyrocketed.
xii. Democrats are a long way from ROCK BOTTOM. The longer the Democrats remain confused, the more elections Conservatives win. Democrats are moving away from centrists which is dangerous given the number of seats the Dems need to defend in 2018. They are going to run Progressive candidates against moderate Democrats in districts Trump swung out from under Obama. Republicans are going to run Centrists in districts that Trump carried. The disconnect could not be more clear — Dems should expect record losses in 2018 regardless of what Trump does. If Trump’s policies are successful and accepted by the working class, especially in fly-over states, God help them. Obama and the Progressives gutted the party. Democrats are still in denial and declaring Trump is #notmypresident.
xiii. Elizabeth Warren for 2020. As of today, there is no introspection on the part of Democrats. They are bearing hard left and running Pocahontas for the next election. There is no one less in touch with the American public and the voters they have lost (other than Nancy Pelosi who was just re-elected to the Minority Speaker of the Senate). Keep on keeping on folks.
xiv. Trump supporters will not abandon him. They like seeing the change. They believe the system needs shaking up. They have a sense of humor. He may not be perfect but he’s what we’ve got. Mr. Trump remains our Valentine. We have no where else to go. We are in this for the long haul.
Firstly I’d like to thank so many of you who reached out to me after receiving somehow through the mysterious email forwarding thread my “thoughts” regarding the Women’s March (see prior post to this one). It was surprising and touching and inspired me to create this forum – Right Red Return as a vehicle to explore and share my “take” on the latest political happenings.
It has all been happening so fast. There was lots of interesting commentary last weekend as the “pundits” tried to absorb the Inauguration and the Women’s March. But I think Peggy Noonan finally nailed it on Friday with her column: https://patriotpost.us/opinion/47145 .
President Trump is creating the party of the people and the progressive left has no idea what to do about it.
I am utterly confounded that hundreds of thousands of women today decided to put on knitted pink hats, holding signs of vaginas – some proclaiming their pride at having had abortions, spewing vulgarities and assembling in public spaces.
When, by the way, were women’s rights threatened? When did Donald Trump become a racist? What LGBTQ freedoms have been impinged upon? But today I watched Ashley Judd look like she was auditioning for One Flew Over The Cockoo’s Nest and when Bill Maher asked Jane Fonda if she was a sore loser she answered they didn’t have time to wait because of global warming. Democratic process apparently no longer counts.
As a woman you certainly do not speak for me. From the sidelines this looks like sheer lunacy. And I’m not even sure I’m a conservative any longer. I am with HIM – whatever party our new president represents.
Not to mention the unbelievable hypocrisy at the way Ivanka Trump and Kelly Anne Conway have been treated – accomplished businesswomen, wives and mothers dismissed to the sidelines, snidely mocked and objectified.
I’ve been told I don’t understand not having a daughter, that I’m a misogynist supporter for voting Trump. I’ve seen mothers of daughters who have multiple degrees and respectable corporate jobs posting on Facebook that our new president is a “fuck-tard”. And who feels comfortable giving small children pink hats and signs with messaging far beyond their years? We are not at the same cocktail party folks.
There is no evidence of a mandate, of new ideas, of emerging leaders. There is only bile and hatred for the new president and his family. There is certainly no introspection as to why they lost the election – the weakness of their candidate, the impracticality of their policy positions, the number of seats they have lost on a national and state-wide forum. They grieve for Obama – but cannot attest as to why. Or point to any notable achievements during his tenure.
Although it is tedious to bear I’m pretty certain they will only lose more of America as they cry over their lattes wearing their vulva shaped hats on solidly blue turf. What must the rancher’s daughter in Iowa or the single mother in downtown Detroit think of this? Division to this degree however is not good for the country.
I for one, whose business is on their fourth Obamacare plan am delighted to welcome the patriotic, family-oriented, hawkishly defensive, religiously respectful and fiscally conscientious new residents to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
And perhaps we need to pull Dr. Ben Carson off of Housing and Urban Development to begin dispensing massive amounts of psychiatric medications to those who seem to have collectively lost their minds.
